Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is centrally located on the high street in Southwold, not far from the promenade, offering an excellent base for exploration. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and warm, though some furniture shows signs of wear and tear. However, noise from the street and neighboring rooms can be bothersome. The dining experience is excellent with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, though breakfast timing may not suit all guests. Overall, a well-situated hotel with some room for improvement in certain areas.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The rooms had everything we needed, were quiet, and the breakfast was top-notch. The sensational bathroom, with its enormous freestanding bath, was a real wow factor. The hotel is full of character. The location is excellent, giving good access to the town and seafront.
I just stayed at this hotel, and let me tell you, it's a gem! The location is fantastic, close to shops and the beach. The rooms, especially the lovely bathroom and great shower, were cozy, but yes, a bit small. The service was a mix - some staff were relaxed and helpful, while others were a bit awkward. The dining experience offered exceptional choices, but at times felt like a 3-star place due to staff experience. Despite all this, the hotel sits in a perfect spot and is a great value for money.
